Q. Can you tile over old tiles?
A. Yes in most cases, as long as the old tiles are securely fixed to the wall.
Q. Will you tidy up?
A. Yes, dustsheets are used to protect carpets so your home or premises will be left clean and tidy. I pride myself on a high level of cleanliness. Rubbish will be bagged up for your disposal or can be removed for you for a small charge.
Q. Do you remove furniture and replace it when the job is completed?
A. Small items can be moved but you will need to make sure the room is clear of large items before work can start. This includes fridge freezers and washing machines, cookers etc. if a room is not cleared then this is a chargeable issue and is charged at £20 per hour.
Q. Will you collect my new tiles?
A. Yes we can collect your tiles locally for a small charge but you will need to make sure they are paid for first, or else we can supply your tiles for you using our discounts at several chains, again tiles must be paid for in advance.
Q. Can you recommend a tile supplier?
A. Please see my favourites section on this website for details.
Q. Can you recommend a plumber?
A. I have a telephone number for a very good plumber, I can pass this on to you, but you will need to arrange dates and prices with him.
Q. Do you supply the tiles, adhesives, grouts, etc?
A. Most customers prefer to supply their own tilesand adhesives; However they may not purchase the correct amount or type, I can supply quality adhesives, tiles, grouts and other sundries at competitive prices. This is to ensure the correct products are used for a professional finish that lasts.
Q. When can I walk on my newly tiled floor?
A. Rapid setting floor adhesive is used and floors can often be walked on within hours of laying, depending on the type of tiles used and the surface tiled onto.
Q. What about radiators and sanitary ware?
A. Radiators and sanitary ware will need to be tiled around, you will need to contact a plumber to remove these items and refit. This provides a far more professional finish.
Q. What about if the walls are out, can you make good or do I need a plasterer?
A. Patch work can be done to make a sound base for tiling onto but major re-rendering will require you to contact a qualified plasterer as we specialise in tiling alone.
Q. I have several small jobs that need doing can you help?
A. Yes, I am willing to take on any job small or large
Q. Are you insured?
A. Yes, I have full public liability cover.
Q. Do your estimates include VAT?
A. As a small business I am exempt from paying VAT.
Q. What method of payment do you accept?
A. I accept cash and cheques only. Sorry no credit cards. Cheques should be made payable to Mr Andrew Wright. All cheques must have a valid cheque guarantee number on the reverse, amounts over your card limit will require multiple cheque issues up to the value of your card..
